Well here we are finally, with the eyes of March upon us. Maybe Mother Nature will be kinder to us than she was this past winter. Lets' hope. Most of us are probably suffering from "Cabin Fever" well maybe I can help. I would appreciate any help I could get to clean up the winter after mess in the park, things like sticks, paper, left over trash containers, cleaning up the swing set area, sitting out the picnic tables, maybe a few minor repairs to some things, etc.
I would like to call March the "Green up our Park" month. Then comes April! My plan is to have the lake ready for our enjoyment by the end of the month . Once again, I am asking for volunteers.
We need to start treating the lake as soon as the ice is all gone, to keep down the algae build-up. I will need people who can swim and not afraid of the Jon boat tipping over, for putting in the chemicals and dying the water. This has to be done monthly. Just so you know, The fee for fishing permits has been raised to $25.00 for the primary member and to $2.00 for each family member under 18 years old and in the same household. The price increase is due to a large increase for the fish and dellivery charges.
