Greetings to our American Legion Family, I want to thank everyone for making our Valentine's Day dinner and dance a big success. The Alexander Brothers were great, the games were enticing and the dinner provided by the Legionnaires was excellently prepared by Greg Stevens. My personal thanks to the entire kitchen staff and waitresses for making this a huge success. The Auxiliary has a full schedule for the next two months, please check the enclosed calendar for specific dates and times. Here are a few dates and times to remember. March 11th 7:00 pm Monthly membership meeting and annual new membership initiation, please join us in this ceremony to recognize new members. You will be officially recognized as a member, receive the following, Your American Legion Auxiliary pin, a copy of our Constitution, a flag and an explanation of our symbol. We have this ceremony yearly but if you have never been to an initiation you are encouraged to attend. March 20th Deadline for donations of Easter candy & plastic eggs to be filled. April 4th Children's Easter party 1pm to 3 pm. Cookies and punch will be served. The egg hunt will be outside so dress children accordingly. The egg hunt age groups will be as follows, 3 and under, 4 thru 6 and 7 thru 11 We are asking for donations of Easter candy and plastic eggs for us to fill. Please drop off donations at the post before the end of business on Friday, March 20th 2009. April 8th Monthly Auxiliary meeting & nominations of next years' offices accepted. Those nominations for your Auxiliary officers for 2009-2010 will be taken from the body of members present Happy Easter and Happy Spring.
